Meditation @ The Third Space has been evolving and growing since 2016.
There are currently two practices – Mindful Meditation and Meditation Circle
Both practices are based on the concept of “shalom” – a Hebrew word for peace. It is a holistic word which incorporates peace of body, soul, spirit and mind.
Mindful Meditation specifically aims at bringing a peace to the body and mind through the practice of mindfulness, deep breathing and relaxation exercises. The practice is a thoroughly evidence-based practice shown to decrease stress/cortisol levels and improve creativity and concentration.
Meditation Circle also aims at “shalom” through incorporating a shortened “mindful meditation”, the Lectio Divina and through engaging in “talking circle” – an opportunity to share personal reflections that come as a result of the meditation.
